loge on Mac and iPhone: film discovery, festival collections and title details

What it does

Your addons provide the streams. Cinemeta supplies the built-in catalogs, search and IMDb ratings; add a playback addon to watch. loge does not host, bundle or sell content.

Browse
An artwork-led Home with popular films and series, Letterboxd lists, genres, festival winners and directors. Title pages with seasons, Up Next, cast and crew.
Sources
Streams from every installed addon, read into resolution, HDR, codec, audio and size. loge remembers what you picked and falls back to another source when one fails.
Playback
mpv with hardware decoding, subtitles from files and subtitle addons, intro and credits skips, Picture in Picture, and frame-rate matching on Apple TV.
Library
Continue Watching, Watch Later, your own lists and a history by day. With a TMDB token, More Like This and a Recommended row ranked on your device.
Sync
Progress, watched state, addons and preferences between your devices, encrypted on the device, through a service you host yourself. Trakt works as an alternative.

Install

Builds come from GitHub Releases, one for every change to main. A free Apple ID can sign the iPhone and Apple TV builds; those signatures last seven days and need refreshing.

iPhone, iPad
Sign loge-iOS.ipa with a sideloading tool such as iloader, or add the SideStore source below to get new builds as updates.
Apple TV
Install loge-tvOS.ipa with atvloadly or Sideloadly.
Mac
Open loge-macOS.dmg and drag loge into Applications. It is not notarized, so the first launch needs Open Anyway in Privacy & Security. Later updates arrive in the app. Apple silicon only.

Know the limits

  • Direct HTTP(S) streams only. No torrents or magnet links; an addon has to turn those into a playable URL.
  • No downloads. loge streams, it does not keep files offline.
  • No subtitles in Picture in Picture.
  • Tested in simulators. HDR output, display matching and Siri Remote gestures have not been checked on hardware.
  • English interface only. Audio and subtitle languages are set separately.
